Inside the newly opened restaurant Qasr Al Sultan in the Dubai desert - in pictures

The newly-opened destination has as its centrepiece an expansive dining area, designed to mimic the days of the Sultans — facing a stage with a dhow and massive sail as a backdrop.

More than 40 colourfully clad performers will dance and sing in nightly shows on the Qasr Al Sultan stage.

After being served a hot cup of Arabic coffee and juicy dates, guests are encouraged to take in the traditional setting. A fresh juice bar can been seen in the background.

Qasr Al Sultan, is a home-grown restaurant-and-a-show experience for tourists and UAE residents from the Meraas food and beverage concept Dubai Gourmet. Located in the desert just past Dubai Parks and Resorts, the destination offers a variety of live cooking stations, a souq, a live show and an evening under the stars.
