Iftar Review: Constellation Ballroom at The Address Dubai Marina

A crowd favourite, the iftar at The Address Dubai Marina caters to a variety ranging from the business community to families.

The experience begins upon entering the burgundy coloured lobby to the Constellation ballroom; hotel staff serve drinks including the traditional offerings Tamarind, Kerkade and Jalab.

The Ramadan vibe is further accentuated through coloured lanterns festooning the area.

This year the hotel moved the food stations to the lobby instead of the ballroom itself.

A wise decision as people can break the fast in relative peace whilst the clanging of buffet dinner plates are reduced to a faint hum outside.

The hall is expansive with plenty of room available between tables with classical Arabic music wafting from the speakers.

As for the food itself, the buffet offers a large selection of Middle Eastern favourites in addition to South East Asian treats.

For those looking for more traditional options, the succulent lamb ozi and the mixed grill station including Shish taouk, kofta, shish kebabs, shrimps and araayas should do the trick.

The Indian food station includes made to order Vegetable Pakodas with fresh dips. The lamb masala was well spiced without being too heavy. The vegetable biryani was full of flavour and can become a full iftar on it’s own.

The highlight however is the Asian station with noodles freshly cooked and a variety of dim sums including vegetables and shrimp.

The dim sums were soft and not sticky and are produced regularly to ensure the freshness remains throughout the evening.

On the desert front, the Sticky Date Pudding with Caramel Sauce is a must have, however due to it’s richness it’s best shared.

While the Baked Fig Tranche finished the meal well accompanied by a glass of mint tea.

An enjoyable and smoothly run affair, iftar at The Address Dubai Marina continues to offer something for all.
