• Truffle season is upon us and menus across the country will be devoted to this coveted fungus throughout October. Cipriani Yas Island has announced its second annual celebration of the delicacy, in collaboration with Massimo Vidoni, an expert on all things truffle (he calls himself The Truffle Man). The restaurant will serve classic Italian dishes enhanced with what is often referred to as the “diamond of the kitchen”. The menu will be available from October 1 to 31. • Tuck into Southern Californian cuisine next week at The Forge steakhouse in The Ritz-Carlton Abu Dhabi, Grand Canal. Visiting executive chef Brian Sundeen, from The Ritz-Carlton, Laguna Niguel in Orange County, has created a five-course tasting menu, including ahi tuna with caviar and avocado yuzu purée; burrata with pickled peach, cherry tomato and saga; and seared scallop, foie gras and Manchego grits. • Head to Serafina Dubai on Sunday for what will surely be the least expensive meal you’ll ever have at this popular restaurant in Souk Al Bahar. This month marks the 20th global anniversary of Serafina, a brand that specialises in northern-Italian cuisine and has 26 venues around the world. To commemorate the occasion, Serafina Dubai will celebrate with 20 dishes at only Dh20 each. The one-night-only menu will include cod with crispy potato and slow-cooked leeks; risotto strawberry and mascarpone; and desserts such as traditional tiramisu and millefeuille with Chantilly cream and strawberry coulis.
