Eclairs come to Dubai’s Jumeirah Lakes Towers

Have you ever said to yourself: “What I really need right now is an eclair. I’m not sure what sort of eclair – so, what I ideally need is a venue that dedicates itself solely to eclairs – ensuring that somewhere among its promised 12 delicious varieties will be the exact eclair that I need”?

One new Dubai eaterie is hoping so, as the fashion for one-item menus that began with the gourmet burger craze and moved onto the cupcake phenomena leaps onto the much-loved eclair at Eclair in Jumeirah Lakes Towers, Dubai.

Eclair operations manager, Gildas Winter, brings a bit of history to proceedings: “The éclair has a long history stretching back to the time of Marie Antoinette but today we are bringing this exquisite dessert into contemporary times. After a significant amount of trial and research, we now have 12 wonderful flavours from the fruity to the classic, all of which are made with only the finest of ingredients. With control of our central production facility we will remain committed to the highest quality of standards in the making of our éclairs.”

What this means for customers is that native French chef, Bertrand Espouy, will be cooking up a storm (pun intended for the French speakers) of creamy, pastry-themed goodness. From the classic milk chocolate to the dark chocolate éclair, to more experimental flavours such as salted caramel and Japanese green matcha tea, it’s all there for Eclair fans in either mini or 13-inch versions.
