To celebrate the arrival of Hilton’s midscale brand, Hilton Garden Inn, to the UAE, Hilton Worldwide has come up with an unusual tribute: a model of the Dubai skyline made up entirely of Hilton Garden Inn’s signature breakfast waffles.
The sculpture was created with 1,500 waffles and measures three metres by four metres. Dubai-based food artist Mark Ranasinghe spent nearly 40 hours building the waffle skyline, which consists of eight iconic Dubai landmarks, including of course, the Burj Khalifa.
The 183-room Hilton Garden Inn Dubai Al Muraqabat opened in Deira on October 22. Two more Hilton Garden Inn hotels will open in Dubai in the coming months: one in Al Mina and one at the Mall of the Emirates.
The Hilton Garden Inn’s signature restaurant is the Garden Grille and Bar, which will offer breakfast, lunch, dinner and room service. That restaurant is where you’ll find those signature waffles, served flat — not in skyline form.
