To celebrate the opening of their Dubai location, Biryani Pot today delivered a feast to The National's Abu Dhabi office. As I am watching my carbs, I opted for a few scoops from the Quinoa Biryani pot, which I have long wondered about but never tried. (It was baked with a piece of bread draped over the top, which I ignored). My friend opted for the chicken with rice. Guess who was falling asleep all afternoon? Not me, with the slow protein release of gluten and cholesterol-free quinoa.
I highly recommend this for an iftar come next week at the start of Ramadan. What better way to break your fast than with one of the world’s healthiest grains?
