Staying true to its promise to promote simplicity and authenticity, with a nod to tradition, - the Italian restaurant that recently opened in Khalidiya Tower- is launching a "Better Bread" month, starting Tuesday (8th). The campaign begins with 1,000 loaves of APi CAE Gourmet bread being handed out in the capital. Given that it is made the traditional way, with slow acting sourdough yeast (easier to digest than synthetic yeast) and less salt than mass produced varieties, bread chef Giovanni Staiano is hoping that not only will people be able to taste the difference, they will also feel it. After the initial giveaway, the month of bread-education continues, with school visits, questions and answer sessions and cooking tips- all of which aim to promote the idea that when it's made the right way, bread can form part of a healthy diet.
