We all know that Italians love their food, and with June 2 being Italian National Day, Dubai’s Segreto restaurant is gearing up to offer food lovers an enticing deal.

From June 2, Italians will get 20 per cent off the food bill and a specially curated menu of Italian favourites to choose from.

Celebrated annually, Italian National Day is a nod to the counry’s referendum in 1946. To mark the occasion, Segreto’s Chef de Cuisine, Francesco Di Noia in collaboration with Trattoria Toscana’s head chef, have created a limited-edition, four-course menu.

Until June 6 the restaurant, which is hidden in Dubai’s Madinat Jumeirah, the Italians among us can savour dishes including Burrata Assumicata which combines smoked burrata cheese with fresh broccolini and red onion; homemade Gnocchetti, a traditional primo tossed with a spinach cream and red prawns; baccala con pisellini e datterino tomato confittato main — a buttery poached cod accompanied with green peas and a confit of datterino tomato and cannoli con ricotta di bufala, pistacchi Verdi e lamponi, which sees the cannoli served with rich Italian buffalo ricotta cheese and topped with pistachio and fresh raspberry.
