Atlantis, The Palm’s famous underwater restaurant is set to reopen with a new concept for the summer. The award-winning Ossiano has been temporarily rebranded as Gregoire’s Kitchen by Ossiano, and will be serving up a special summer tasting menu courtesy of chef Gregoire Berger. Diners will be able to enjoy an 18-course tasting menu of tapas dishes for Dh395, offering a mix of both sweet and savoury flavours. The kitchen will reopen on Thursday, July 16, hoping to offer an accessible price point alongside a more relaxed dining environment, which will now feature a live DJ. Dishes will be changed each week, but will centre around global favourites and travel, with chef Berger promising to put a modern twist on traditional tapas dishes. “After this crazy and uncertain period, we want to focus on bringing people together, and nothing does this better than a great dining experience. Food nourishes the soul and we all need to heal together, so it’s my pleasure to invite all of Dubai’s residents to my restaurant, to enjoy our unique dining experience in an affordable way,” says chef Berger. “We recognise that people can’t travel right now, so we’re modernising tapas dishes, and reinterpreting them with my own unique twist. I look forward to reopening the kitchen and welcoming new guests to try our new food.” Dishes will include the likes of sardine and confit lemon truffle, Cancale oysters with seafoam, Spanish mussels with cider and chorizo, “bloody gazpacho” served on frozen salt, and churros with chocolate and coriander. For Dh395, guests can enjoy 18 dishes divided into five appetisers, seven mains, and six desserts.
