We all know that eating fruit is good for you and we should try to eat more of it – five portions a day, remember?

Chocolate is... well, not quite so good for you but we all deserve a little treat now and then.

So why not combine the virtuous with the slightly sinful by combining fruit and chocolate – they will cancel each other out... right?

And the perfect place to do so is at Godiva Chocolate Café, which is hosting a Strawberry Festival until the end of the month at The Galleria on Al Maryah Island in Abu Dhabi.

Indulge yourself with the sweetest, juiciest, freshest strawberries and Godiva’s rich Belgian chocolate, artfully combined in a range of themed creations.

The many treats on offer include:

• The Chocolixir drink – a sumptuous, ice-cold blend of strawberries and white chocolate topped with whipped cream and strawberry sauce. (Dh40)

• Milk Chocolate Strawberry Tablet – mixing the pleasures of chocolate-dipped strawberries together in a bar of creamy 31 per cent milk chocolate, with a burst of fresh strawberries (Dh30).

• Chocolate-dipped strawberries – For fans of the classics, these decadent treats are simply ripe, juicy fruits hand-dipped in rich Godiva chocolate (Dh8 each). During the Strawberry Festival, they can also be decorated with an assortment of sprinkles by the Godiva’s culinary artists (Dh12 each).
