If you’re thinking of treating the family to an indulgent meal out, there’s never been a better time. This year, Dubai Summer Surprises has launched its first DSS Summer Restaurant Week. Taking place from August 11 to 21, some of the city’s best restaurants will be serving up limited-time menus at special prices as part of the initiative. To make this family-friendly, they will also be offering children’s menus at every meal, with prices from Dh25. A total of 30 premium restaurants have been shortlisted, with 50 meal choices available, offering 20 cuisines across Dubai during the 11 days. The selected restaurants will serve breakfast for Dh69 per adult, with the choice of a main breakfast dish, hot drink and juice. It will be priced at Dh25 per child. A two-course lunch will cost Dh95 for adults and Dh35 for children. Finally, for those wanting a night out, there will be three-course dinners offered for Dh150 for adults and Dh35 for children. Those visiting The Pangolin, the safari-themed restaurant by Sergio Lopez that opened in 2020, can enjoy breakfast, lunch or dinner, with the breakfast menu for adults to include a hot drink, juice, two eggs your way, and sides such as avocado, mushrooms, halloumi and smoked salmon. The lunch and dinner menu includes vegetable spring rolls, twice-cooked veal osso buco and spiced-honey creme brulee with pistachio halva, saffron and sesame tuiles. Fish Beach Taverna will serve a two-course lunch menu with dishes such as a sea bream fillet, the Turkish chicken kebab tavuk sis, calamari and baklava on offer. If visiting Social by Heinz Beck is on your to-do list, you can indulge in a white tomato risotto with summer vegetables, salmon fillet with Sicilian caponata and chocolate sable with caramel ice cream, as part of the initiative.
