Actress Jennifer Lawrence is the most-searched Oscar red-carpet star, according to new data from Google. Google analysed search history dating back to 2004 and found The Hunger Games star has donned the most popular looks, despite not making her first Oscar appearance until 2011. That year, she arrived at the ceremony wearing a red, figure-hugging dress by Calvin Klein. The following year she was named an ambassador for Christian Dior, and so in 2013 she wore a haute couture gown from the French fashion house. With a fitted bodice and voluminous skirt, Lawrence famously tripped over the hem, falling up the stairs as she went to collect her Academy Award for Best Actress her role in Silver Linings Playbook. At number two in the search engine ranking is Lady Gaga, always one for daring fashion choices. To accept her Academy Award for A Star Is Born in 2019, the singer-turned-actress donned a bandeau black Alexander McQueen gown with long opera gloves. She also sported a whopping 128.5 carat yellow diamond by Tiffany that had not been worn in public since 1961, when it hung around the neck of the actress Audrey Hepburn while promoting her film Breakfast at Tiffany's. Next on the list is Angelina Jolie, who in 2012 wore a black Versace dress, slashed to the hip. At the time, she was mocked for the odd stance she adopted to show off the dress, but it has since become one of the most famous Oscar looks of all time. The fourth most searched-for Oscars look is from singer and actress Jennifer Lopez. In 2019 she stole the spotlight when she wore a skintight dress by Tom Ford seemingly made from a mosaic of mirror fragments. Finally, coming in fifth as the most popular Oscar dresser, is actor Billy Porter, who in 2019 wore a stunning black velvet tuxedo dress by Christian Siriano. Take a look through the photo gallery above to see the looks from each star.
