Men's Arab Fashion Week: Michael Cinco, Amato and Behnoode among labels in Dubai schedule

The first-of-its-kind event begins on Thursday

The first Men's Arab Fashion Week kicks off on Thursday, with a packed schedule featuring regional and European menswear labels.

An entirely digital presentation, all of the shows and talks are being broadcast live on Instagram via @arabfashioncouncil, on Facebook and via the website, arabfashionweek.org.

With what promises to be an exciting mix of talents – some entirely new to this region, such as Arturo Obegero, or branching out in new directions, in the case of Amato and Behnoode – it is well worth tuning in to see the latest ideas for the well-dressed man.

Thursday, January 28 (UAE timings)

8pm: Amato, from Dubai, will launch the event with its first full men’s collection

8.15pm: Iranian brand Zardouz

8.30pm: Anomalous, from Dubai

8.40pm: Council Talks with Serge Carreira, head of emerging brands at Federation de la Haute Couture et de la Mode, Paris

9.10pm: Spanish label Arturo Obegero

9.15pm: Boyfriend the Brand, from Lebanon

Friday, January 29

8pm: EGONlab, the Parisian unisex label

8.15pm: Behnoode, established in Italy, will deliver its first gender-neutral collection

8.30pm: Emergency Room, from Beirut

8.40pm: Council Talks with Allyson Porte from Forbes

8.55pm: Velsvoir, the bespoke suit name from Dubai

9.15pm: Louis Gabriel Nouchi, the French designer specialising in fluid daywear

Saturday, January 30

8pm: Lazoschmidl, the German-Swedish brand

8.15pm: Vro Pardo, the line of culinary apparel from Paraguay

8.30pm: Parisian brand Valette Studio

8.40pm: Council Talks with Diane Pernet, American blogger based in Paris

8.55pm: Roni Helou, from Lebanon

9.15pm: Michael Cinco, from Dubai
