The red carpet was, naturally, full of looks by Italian designers, with the biggest statement of the evening certainly Italian celebrity Ludovica Valli's ginormous gown by Antonio Riva. Meanwhile, Kirby showed up looking slick in Armani Prive, and Fotini Peluso opted for a ruffle-and-bow look by Red Valentino. The Venice Film Festival is the first major in-person film festival to be held in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic. Because of this, attendees at the world's oldest film festival have to follow strict safety measures such as mandatory face masks indoors, temperature scanners and socially distanced screenings to reduce the risk of infection.
