It's a night that celebrates the best of the sporting world, but the style at this year's Espy red carpet was also hot out of the tracks on Wednesday night.

The 2019 edition of the annual awards (the acronym stands for Excellence in Sports Performance Yearly Award) drew stars from the big screen, music industry and, of course, various sports for the occasion.

Held at LA's Microsoft Theatre and hosted by comedian and actor Tracy Morgan, the night saw athletes such as American soccer star Alex Morgan, wrestler Roman Reigns and NFL star Drew Brees pick up trophies.

Meanwhile, on the red carpet, actress Gabrielle Union joined husband and basketball Dwayne Wade, while singer Ciara accompanied her husband, American football quarterback Russell Wilson.

Also in attendance on the night were actresses Elle Fanning and Linda Cardellini, singer Usher and Tori Kelly, as well as sports stars including Lindsey Vonn, Odell Beckham Jr and Colleen Quigley.
