Rami Al Ali is known for lavishing his gowns with dense beadwork and intricate embroidery, making him a firm fixture on international haute couture runways. The Syrian couturier has now released his first-ever childrenswear line, but not for him the cartoon motifs or simple cuts typically found in kids' collections. Instead, Al Ali has replicated the gowns from his latest autumn/winter pret-a-porter collection, sized down for girls between the ages of 3 and 12. Accordingly, the dresses are appliqued with textured beadwork and abstract artworks and feature full-structured volumes and pleats, highlighted with linear designs and floral prints. Using fabrics such as mikado and tulle, the collection is in wintry shades of fresh salmon, blue glass, crystal pink and shimmering champagne.
