The fragrance industry is slowly evolving, becoming more and more evocative of a perfumer's unique memories and experiences. Brands are also increasingly turning to unisex fragrances, as opposed to creating compartmentalised scents for men and women. Such is the case with this recent perfume launch from Carolina Herrera. Dubbed Confidential Eaux de Toilette, the range is the latest extension of the brand's Herrera Confidential collection. The six fragrances in the range are: Virgin Mint (Napa spearmint combined with bergamot and citrus), Rose Cruise (a blend of Bulgarian rose, damask rose and centifolia rose), Bergamot Bloom (a scent laced with jasmine, ginger and lemon), Orange Affair (a sensual aroma formed from rhubarb acids, orange blossom, velvety almond and tonka bean), Vetiver Paradise (a spicy fragrance with bergamot, grapefruit, pink pepper, nutmeg, cardamom and neroli), and Blond Jasmine (a musky fusion of jasmine sambac, Egyptian magnolia, cedrat oil and vert de mandarin). Confidential Eaux de Toilette also features two elixirs: blossom and citrus. When one of these is combined with a fragrance on the wearer's skin, the resulting aroma will be unique to that wearer. Layering fragrances in this personalised manner is a craft deeply rooted in Arab culture, so we're expecting that Carolina Herrera's new aromas will appeal to the region's scent-savvy consumers. Read more
