Dreaming of a white Christmas? A new venue in Dubai promises a wintry holiday experience inspired by Lapland, featuring an immersive multimedia show, skating rink, magic shows, street performances and even time with Santa. Opening on December 12, Winter Wonderland at JBR is set up as a festive village for families celebrating the holiday season. Among its highlights is a digital pavilion where 360 projections, holograms and light installations will be on display. This includes a Journey to the North Pole, a narrated 15-minute walk-through where visitors can immerse themselves in projections of shimmering palaces, lollipop trees and snow-capped forests. The venue will also be filled with cheerful decor fitting for the season, including lights, Christmas trees and toy soldiers, all with simulated snowfall. Every day, street performers and magicians like Magic Phil, will be putting on new shows. Activities for children will include a Glice-skating rink, slide, bouncy castles and Build A Bear stations. Winter Wonderland’s food kiosks will be serving favourites such as hot apple and cranberry pie, grilled raclette cheese and roast beef sandwiches, baked potatoes and turkey sausages, and hot chocolate with a selection of toppings. Winter Wonderland will welcome visitors until January 7. Timings are between noon to 10pm on weekdays and until midnight on weekends. Prices vary according to selected activities and timings. Bookings can be made on BookMyShow
