She may be keeping her daughter's name firmly under wraps, but Gigi Hadid has shared a closer look at the newborn's space in her New York City home. The supermodel, 25, posted several intimate snaps of her first child's nursery on Instagram on Monday, December 7, revealing the calming space is decorated with earthy tones and plenty of textiles. Hadid, who is of Palestinian and Dutch descent, welcomed a daughter with musician Zayn Malik in September. The newborn was brought home into a bedroom filled with rattan decor, woven doves across the terracotta walls, a striped rug and tasselled pillows. In one photo, a heavily pregnant Hadid can be glimpsed in a mirror's reflection, in a shot taken about a week before she gave birth. "Decorating and spending time in her nursery really helped me feel prepared when I would get too in my head," the model captioned the image. She also shared another selfie taken from the nursery on the night before she went into labour. Hadid and Malik, 27, confirmed their daughter's birth on September 23. The model also shared a look at stacked bookshelves in her baby's room, with titles including Daddy and Me, Are You My Mother? and Yes, No Little Hippo on display. "So many friends sent their favourite books," Hadid wrote. The celebrity couple are yet to announce the name of their daughter, but fans have nicknamed her Zigi. News of Hadid's pregnancy was first revealed in April, and the model later confirmed the news to US chat show host Jimmy Fallon, saying the couple were “extremely happy and excited”. The model and Malik have been in an on and off relationship since 2015. They broke up for a period in 2018, but it was confirmed they were back together in December 2019.
