The Dubai destination is resuming its twice-weekly "musical" fireworks show, which was suspended in February. The spectacle was paused on February 3 following a directive from Dubai Tourism to suspend live entertainment in hotels and restaurants. However, shows will resume from Thursday, until Global Village's current season draws to a close on Sunday, April 18. Fireworks will take place at the multicultural theme park every Thursday and Friday at 9pm. "In a year like no other, the return of this firm favourite will be sure to brighten up everybody's weekend plans, delivering the wow factor for loyal guests and new visitors to the multi-generational seasonal park," Global Village said. The destination opened gates for its 25th season on October 25, with a host of safety measures in place. These include free face masks, thermal scanners and more than 600 sanitisation stations spread across the venue. Global Village is on Sundays to Wednesdays, 4pm-12am; Thursdays and Fridays, 4pm-1am; and Saturdays, 2pm-11pm; until Sunday, April 18, 2021.
