To mark the 121st Philippine Independence Day on June 12, Dubai Parks and Resorts has announced it will be offering tickets to Filipinos who reside in the UAE for Dh39. That’s a discount of up to 70 per cent, as the usual entrance fee is between Dh175 and Dh245. The offer extends from June 12 to 15. "Guests will be able to access three theme parks at an unbeatable price of AED 39, including exclusive all-day food and merchandise offers, as well as live entertainment," the announcement reads. Tickets give guests access to the three theme parks at the giant entertainment complex: Hollywood-inspired Motiongate Dubai, child-friendly Legoland Dubai and Bollywood Parks Dubai, which pays homage to the Indian film industry with colourful attractions and musical shows. Visitors can also enter Riverland Dubai for free. This is the area where all parks converge, offering an upbeat atmosphere, numerous shops and restaurants with a variety of cuisines, from desserts to Italian and grilled chicken. But you might want to save your appetite for when you're in Motiongate, as Mr Ping's restaurant will also be offering a special buffet featuring Filipino cuisine for Dh35. In order to take advantage of the offer, Filipino residents in the UAE must book their tickets online. Make sure you have your Emirates ID to hand when you arrive, as you will be asked to present it at the gate. If you have a Dubai Parks and Resorts annual pass, then you can enjoy all the rides and attractions at no additional cost. Philippine Independence Day is held every year on June 12, and commemorates the independence of the Philippines from Spain. Yesterday, Philippine Airlines also announced a massive sale to mark the day, with more than two million seats up for grabs, with roundtrip economy tickets on international travel available for as low as $89 (Dh327).
