The strange collaborations just keep coming. The newest to come out is that hitmaker Ed Sheeran has teamed up with Heinz to release his own specially-packaged, limited edition bottle called "Edchup" for British National Ketchup Day (which was on June 5). They are bottles of ketchup sold with a label that reads "Edchup" rather than "Ketchup" and have already apparently sold out. However, perhaps this shouldn't have come as too much of a surprise as Sheeran is such a big fan of the brand that he actually has a Heinz Tomato Ketchup logo tattooed on his left arm. The pop star has recently taken to Instagram to announce his newest collaboration with Unilever-owned Schmidt’s Naturals in which he’s created his own deodorant scent called “Here + Now.” The product is expected to launch in fall 2019 although not many other details have been released yet. However, according to People magazine, the Sorry singer helped design the label artwork as well as formulate the scent. Much like other Schmidt's Naturals products, his deodorant will be vegan and cruelty free, and created from plant-based ingredients. The name of the scent is a nod to Bieber’s new attitude towards mental health choosing a theme that focuses on staying present. Back in March, he announced he would take a hiatus from the music world to focus on his marriage and health after he had opened up about his issues with depression. "It's more than just a deodorant; it's a lifestyle and a connection to those around you," Schmidt's CEO and co-founder Michael Cammarata tells People. "It's about the small, but intentional choices we make every day that help us to lead happier and healthier lives, mentally and physically." With news of this partnership, we take a look at five other interesting celebrity collaborations of the past. The American rapper collaborated with the footwear company to create his own shoe in 2018. Malone claims they sold out in 10 minutes. It actually did so well, he collaborated with them again for a second collection. Yep, the famed puppet and the iconic skate and street style brand collaborated on a collection. The Supreme shoes feature the iconic frog on the side with perfect Kermit-green colouring on the back of the heel but the real treasure from the collection is seeing Kermit rocking the box logo t-shirt. Limited-edition Andy Warhol-inspired Perrier bottles were released back in 2013. In 1983, Warhol created artwork featuring the bottles so for their 150th anniversary, Perrier replicated the work onto their bottles. In a strange partnership, the fried chicken restaurant and breast cancer foundation teamed up in 2010 to raise money for Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Don’t worry, the chicken wasn’t coloured pink – just the basket the food came in. Although for some, it raised eyebrows to have a cancer organisation partner with a fast food joint. In a delicious mash up, Skittles released a special edition of “Seattle Mix” which featured only green and blue candies (the official colours of the NFL football team Seattle Seahawks) after running back Marshawn Lynch announced it as his favourite treat.
