Debenhams, Kinokuniya and Lululemon among 66 stores coming to Galleria mall extension in Abu Dhabi

Abu Dhabi's latest shopping arena — what was to be Al Maryah Central — is now called The Galleria, Al Maryah Island. The new mall, which is being pegged as an extension of the existing (and practically empty) The Galleria, will open its doors on September 4.

While The Galleria is known for its high-end restaurants and big name brands, the extension will be made up mostly of high-street and mid-range labels, presumably to increase the footfall. What this means, however, is that you no longer have to trek all the way to Yas Mall to shop at stores such as Debenhams, Massimo Dutti, Zara Home and more.

Luxury brands Chanel, Piaget and Valentino will also be part of the space, which will also house the Xtreme Zone trampoline and adventure park, Vox Cinemas and a Waitrose.
