Malls across Abu Dhabi will be launching huge spring sales this week, with discounts of up to 75 per cent. The Department of Culture and Tourism Abu Dhabi has announced the launch of the Retail Abu Dhabi (RAD) Spring Sales, set to run from April 15 to May 1. More than 300 stores and outlets will take part in the shopping event, which is the first spring sale to take part in the emirate. Here's everything you need to know: There are 15 shopping malls across Abu Dhabi and Al Ain taking part in the spring sale. These are: Abu Dhabi Mall, Dalma Mall, Bawadi Mall, Al Ain Mall, Yas Mall, Al Wahda Mall, WTC Mall, Khalidiyah Mall, Mushrif Mall, Raha Mall, Madinat Zayed Mall, Mazyed Mall, Barari Mall, Foah Mall and Bawabat Al Sharq Mall. Malls will also be offering daily and weekly prizes and special offers. While a full list of participating stores has not been released, it has promised that more than 300 outlets will be participating in the spring sale, with both big-name brands and smaller local stores offering discounts. Prices will be slashed by up to 75 per cent over the two-week event, and shoppers who spend more than Dh200 in selected fashion stores will have the chance to win mall gift vouchers worth up to Dh124,000. The RAD initiative was launched in December 2018 with a six-week shopping festival taking place across the capital. It is part of the Department of Culture and Tourism's push to cement Abu Dhabi as an attractive tourist destination, so expect more shopping events throughout the year. “We are excited to announce the first edition of RAD Spring Sales, which is expected to be one of the most popular events in Abu Dhabi’s retail calendar,” says Saeed Rashed Al Saeed, destination marketing director, DCT Abu Dhabi. “Our mall and retail establishments are some of the finest in the world, and are an important facet of Abu Dhabi’s economic growth. We trust that these incredible shopping offers will encourage people to get out into the city and enjoy these deals.”
