It might be focused on one-to-ones with some of the beauty industry's brightest names, but cosmetics moguls aren't the only ones in the limelight in About Face. Dubai gets a starring role in a new trailer for the Quibi series, helmed by British supermodel Rosie Huntington-Whiteley. The catwalk favourite, 33, visited the emirate to interview Huda Beauty founder Huda Kattan for the show, which will launch on Monday, August 10. Huntington-Whiteley can be seen strolling on the Palm Jumeirah in the trailer's opening scenes, with the Dubai Marina skyline visible in the background. "I’m on my way to meet one of the most iconic make-up artists in the world," says the model, before asking American-Iraqi Kattan: "So how do you build a billion-dollar beauty brand in the Middle East?" Kattan, 36, founded her make-up brand, Huda Beauty, in 2013. The beauty mogul expanded her portfolio with the launch of her Wishful skincare line this year. A perfume brand, Kayali, was launched in 2018 in collaboration with her sister, Mona. Huntington-Whiteley appears to have met Kattan at the Five Palm Jumeirah Hotel and Resort, known for its distinctive architecture. The six-part show, on which the model also acts as executive producer, will discuss business development and entrepreneurship in the beauty industry. In the series, Huntington-Whiteley will also be joined by Kylie Jenner, Glossier chief executive Emily Weiss, South Korean beauty influencer Park Hye-min – known as Pony – celebrity make-up artist Sir John and Jen Atkin, hairstylist to the stars. Quibi is an American short-form streaming platform, which launched in April this year. All of the shows on the mobile-first platform are fewer than 10 minutes per episode.
