Saudi women to form first national team for female golfers - in pictures

As sport becomes more popular across the kingdom, 56 women have started training under a Tunisian coach as they vie for a spot on the team

Tunisian golf coach Ghezlan Ahmed trains a Saudi woman in Riyadh.

Ahmed has trained more than 400 women.

Fifty-six of them aim to enter the national team.

The coach said there were now ‘more than 400 women participants in golf training’.

Lamia Al-Fhadi, who took up golf only five months ago, aims to ‘have the last laugh when I hopefully enter the Saudi national team’.
