Dubai ‘Colourful Tweets’ art symposium begins second edition

DUBAI // Dubai International Art Symposium’s second edition was inaugurated by Sheikh Jomaa bin Maktoum Al Maktoum, the managing director of Rashid Centre for the Disabled and chairman of the event, at the centre’s headquarters on Tuesday.

Twenty six artists from 16 Arab countries and some others, including 21 first-time participants, were taking part in painting workshops at the event.

Sheikh Jomaa toured the art workshops and chatted with artists as they were working on painting colourful expressions of tweets by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, as this year’s symposium is titled “Colourful Tweets”.

The inauguration also included a ceremony to honour participating artists and the organising committee.
