United Arab Bank announces executive changes

United Arab Bank yesterday confirmed two executives to permanent positions.

Anthony Murphy, who has been acting CFO since November, was named as chief financial officer. UAB also confirmed the appointment of Dima Al Sous as head of legal.

Maha Azzam, long-time senior vice president, was named as head of transformation – a newly created role at UAB.

Samer Tamimi, the acting chief executive, said the confirmations underline the continuity at the bank and will support ongoing efforts to increase efficiency.

“This announcement follows on from Moody’s recent affirmation of our credit rating and transition to a stable outlook, which further demonstrates tangible progress against our strategic plans,” he added.
