DUBAI // Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, Vice President and Ruler of Dubai, visited on Wednesday the newly opened IMG Worlds of Adventure theme park. During the visit, Sheikh Mohammed discussed the importance of the UAE’s private sector and its role as an active partner of the government. He also highlighted the country’s development in tourism, hospitality and leisure, a sector that is considered one of the backbones of the UAE Vision 2021 as well as the national agenda. At 1.5 million square feet, IMG Worlds of Adventure is the largest indoor theme park in the world. Accompanied by Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed, Crown Prince of Dubai, and Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Sheikh Mohammed visited the 350,000-square-feet Marvel theme zone based on characters from the comics company, as well as the 230,000-square-feet Cartoon Network zone, which features the world’s biggest cartoon characters shop as well as the region’s first 5-D cinema. He was briefed by the park’s owners, Ilyas and Mustafa Galadari, on the park’s attractions.
