ABU DHABI // After two years of redevelopment, Mushrif Central Park will open on March 20.
The park’s features include an animal barn, a great lawn and botanic, children’s and evening gardens.
There will also be several fun-filled community celebrations for children and adults throughout the weekend at the new venue, including Abu Dhabi’s first outdoor amphitheatre in a park and the striking shade house, which features an indoor botanic garden.
The park, on 15th Street between Airport Road and Karamah Street, is one of the largest and oldest in Abu Dhabi.
Abdul Aziz Husain Ahmed, chief executive of Al Ain Properties, said: “The park’s design captures and honours the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan’s legacy of conservation and his love of nature.”
The community day will be free to the public from 12pm to 6pm. General admission will be Dh5 a person and free for children aged 3 and under.
