Meet sea lions at Atlantis hotel

DUBAI// Visitors to The Atlantis, The Palm hotel will be able to get up close and personal with a group of South African fur seals.

Sea Lion Point will allow the public to interact with the animals to learn more about their behaviour and take a souvenir photograph or two.

“This interaction aims to be enriching for both the guests and the marine mammals,” said Heidi PerezCao, vice president of Sea Lion Point. “It lets guests meet members of the extraordinary pinniped family.”

Photo sessions cost Dh425 for day visitors and Dh275 for hotel guests. Visitors are allowed 10 minutes with the animals under the supervision of marine mammal specialists.

The sea lion photo session has a maximum of 10 guests and participants must be 6 or older.

Children aged between 6 and 12 must be accompanied by an adult. Sessions are available at 11.15am and 3.15pm each day.

Each booking includes all-day access to Aquaventure Waterpark, 25 per cent off same-day admission to The Lost Chambers Aquarium and a free souvenir photo.
