Smartphone vendors shipped 327.6 million devices in Q3 2014, a 25.2 per cent growth from 261.7m units shipped in drign the same period a year earlier. China’s Xiaomi is now the world’s third largest smartphone maker, due in large part to the success of its high-end Mi4, breaking into the list of the top 5 smartphone makers in the world for the first time.
