Construction of a marina at Abu Dhabi’s Hidd A Saadiyat development has commenced, and is expected to be completed next year.
The private marina is set to feature a pedestrian walk, 110 berths for boats of different sizes and will be directly linked to the beach.
“Our continued collaboration with leading contracting companies such as Ghantoot Group further reinforces our commitment to making Hidd Al Saadiyat an exclusive neighbourhood just a stone’s throw away from the island’s pristine beaches and turquoise waters,” said Hidd Al Saadiyat project director Greg Slingerland.
The development will feature 461 villas on a land area covering nearly 1.5 million square metres of natural waterfront land within Saadiyat Island.
Earlier this month it was confirmed that infrastructure work at the luxury beach resort was “nearly finished”.
Developer SDIC is set to start handing over new villas in December.
