The cost of buying or renting a home in Abu Dhabi fell in December, according to a report this week from the property data company Reidin.
It said the capital’s home prices were down 0.97 per cent from a month earlier and 3 per cent from a year earlier. It said rents were down 0.99 per cent and 2 per cent for the respective periods.
As for Dubai, Reidin said home prices were down 0.21 per cent month-on-month and unchanged year on year. Rents were down 0.04 per cent month-on-month and down 5 per cent year on year.
The property research company Phidar Advisory earlier said that apartment rents fell 0.6 per cent in December compared with a quarter earlier while villa rents fell 0.8 per cent during the same period.
