Issey Miyake’s privately-held comany, Issey Miyake Inc, based in Tokyo, has 133 stores in major cities in Japan and 91 internationally, including Bao Bao in Abu Dhabi’s Yas Mall and two in Dubai. A long-time name in luxury fashion, he also produced the black turtlenecks that were a part of the late Apple boss Steve Jobs’ signature attire. A new show of his designs is on at the National Art Centre in Tokyo.
