The world economy is expected to grow by 2.9 per cent this year, according to data from the Economist Intelligence Unit. This is a rise on 2014 when world GDP was estimated to have increased by 2.5 per cent. Leading the growth in the developed world will be America - with a growth forecast of 3.3 per cent. However, developing economy Papua New Guinea is expected to put in the best show of all, expanding by 15 per cent - that’s nearly twice as fast as any other nation.
