Many individuals suffered serious complications after they were administered Botox by some women, who were illegally offering such services at private homes.
Two years ago, the Abu Dhabi municipality started a campaign of education and inspections in salons, some of which were offering beauty treatments without proper permission.
When it comes to the quest for beauty, it is wise to exercise caution. Those wanting the procedure should first ask probing questions.
