JJ Abrams wants you to be in Star Wars: Episode VII - and in a video announcing the contest, gives all the details from the top-secret set "in lovely Abu Dhabi".
With confirmation from twofour54 that the film is indeed shooting in the Abu Dhabi desert, the director has released a YouTube video announcing a once-in-a-life opportunity to be in the newest flick from the classic sci-fi franchise.
Including airfare and accommodation, the winner and one guest will be flown to London and given behind-the-scenes VIP access on the closed set. The lucky winner will also have a chance to meet members of the cast and be transformed through make-up and costume teams into a Star Wars character before filming a scene.
The contest supports the launch of Star Wars: Force for Change, a campaign to raise funds and awareness towards a charitable cause. The project's first initiative is to help UNICEF'S Innovation Labs and its innovative projects that help children in need.
Fans can donate at omaze/StarWars. By pledging as little as US$10 (Dh37), fans will automatically be entered for a chance to win. The contest will be held until July 18 and those entering must be at least 18 years old.
