<b style="mso-bidi-font-weight: normal"><span style="LINE-HEIGHT: 115%; FONT-FAMILY: 'Arial','sans-serif'; FONT-SIZE: 12pt">Congratulations on the debut of your new line Nadine, tell me about the inspiration behind it?<o:p></o:p></span></b> <span style="LINE-HEIGHT: 115%; FONT-FAMILY: 'Arial','sans-serif'; FONT-SIZE: 12pt">Thank you! Well, the line is actually more like a collage and it's a parallel to what I do with photography. It's a totally new line for <em>Bil Arabi</em>, all the pieces are one-off's, with the name <em>Ya Ghali</em> meaning "precious and expensive" in Arabic. I basically handpicked classical jewellery that my jeweler had sourced from different places; I then reworked and "Arabised" them.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </span>Everything is made in white gold and there's a nice mix of contemporary and classical designs.<o:p></o:p></span> <b style="mso-bidi-font-weight: normal"><span style="LINE-HEIGHT: 115%; FONT-FAMILY: 'Arial','sans-serif'; FONT-SIZE: 12pt">What stones have been used and how much do the pieces cost?<o:p></o:p></span></b> <span style="LINE-HEIGHT: 115%; FONT-FAMILY: 'Arial','sans-serif'; FONT-SIZE: 12pt">I've used all diamonds, some amethyst, citrines and tourmalines too. The pieces retail from around <span style="COLOR: black; mso-themecolor: text1">Dh12,000</span><span style="COLOR: red"> </span>to Dh400,000 for a big diamond bangle/cuff with diagonal writing in Arabic on it, saying "passion".<o:p></o:p></span> <em>Nadine Kanso at Harvey Nichols.
