Tyrese Gibson reveals identity of his new wife

Tyrese Gibson’s best kept secret — the identity of his new wife — has been revealed just days after he announced he had married.

Gibson, 38, married Samantha Lee in a secret ceremony on Valentine’s Day, but managed to keep the nuptials quiet until his marital status got out last week.

According to a TMZ media report, the details of which have since been verified by the Fast and the Furious actor on his Instagram, Lee is from New Jersey and has a master's degree in social work from the University of Georgia.

In her capacity as a social worker, Gibson’s new bride is said to have handled cases for the Division of Family and Children Services and has been working hard to fight human trafficking.

The picture Gibson posted on Instagram of the happy couple showed them in their wedding attired. Lee was wearing a pink halter-neck dress with a diamond-encrusted head piece and the groom, who has also appeared in Transformers, was decked out in his white tuxedo.

Gibson, who is a regular visitor to Abu Dhabi and spoke to The National last year about his plans to open a film studio in the capital, has referred to his new wife as his "black queen".

Lee and Gibson reportedly met after the actor posted an open letter in 2015 to his “wife of the future”. He was previously married to Norma Mitchell, with whom he has a 9-year-old daughter.
