From concerts to illusionists to comedians, here is your guide to some of the hottest summer events in the UAE.
On show
Produced by the Switzerland-based Compagnia Finzi Pasca, the international touring show La Verità is devoted to Salvador Dalí's genius, with a troupe of acrobats and dancers performing aerial contortions and clowning. Next month, Dalí's painting will accompany the La Verità troupe to Abu Dhabi for a performance.
Magic
See illusionist David Blaine, who has apparently defied every law of nature in his career as an illusionist, is set to bring his bizarre brand of magic for his Middle East debut show in the capital next month.
On stage
Abu Dhabi's landmarks, traditions and F1 course will be recreated on stage with nothing more than lights, dancers and an illuminated screen in the stage production Shadowland which will run at Adnec.
Music
In concert news, some of the region's biggest and brightest young reality-show talents are coming to Emirates Palace. Besides the Arab Idol star Mohammed Assaf, the Palestinian artist and speed painter Mohammed Al Dairi and the Saudi illusionist Ahmed Al Bayed will also make an appearance. Bollywood songstress Sunidhi Chauhan will also take the stage for her debut solo performance in the capital on August 15.
Comedy
Also check out the United Nations of Comedy showcase returns with more laughs from some of the Arab world's leading comics. On the bill this year are "Lebanon's King of Comedy" Nemr Abou Nassar, the Australian-Egyptian Khaled Khalafalla, the Palestinian-American Aron Kader, the Kuwait-born American Mo Amer, the Iranian Amir K and the US-based Sammy Obeid.
