Sanoop Dinesh, a cast member of Al Malik Taking audiences to the mythical village of Wadi Al Hail, deep in the Hajar Mountains before oil was discovered, the Abu Dhabi-based Resuscitation Theatre presents Al Malik, a fusion of dance and drama based on William Shakespeare's Cymbeline and performed in English.Hosted by Abu Dhabi Theater in collaboration with Emirates Writers Union, Al Malik - also supported by Abu Dhabi Festival, will be performed 20-23 March at 8pm at the Emirates Writers Union auditorium, mezzanine level of The National Theatre. Promising to be an evening which leaves audiences on the edge of their seats, Al Malik is a tale of treachery and betrayal and follows the character of Hind, who has secretly married her childhood friend, Humaid. Once they are found out, Humaid is banished and Hind is abandoned in the Empty Quarter. “This is a wonderful story full of twists and turns,” explains Maggie Hannan, founder of the Resuscitation Theatre. “One of the things we pride ourselves in is having such a multicultural cast which reflects all the cultures in Abu Dhabi.
