The Keeper: Steven Seagal doesn't help confusing plot

Director: Keoni Waxman
Starring: Steven Seagal, Liezl Carstens
*

The action legend Steven Seagal plays the retired policeman Roland, who is protecting a wealthy friend's daughter (Carstens) when she is targeted by a ruthless gang of criminals.

This is a horrendous film that only surprises you in terms of how baffling the plot can get. Terrible dialogue litters plotlines that don't seem to make any sense (Roland's backstory doesn't relate to anything else in the film), and poorly directed action that looks more at home on a bad TV detective show. An increasingly rotund Seagal is near incomprehensible and, for many scenes, near invisible, as most of the time he is in the shadows. Bad even by his recent standards, Seagal's career continues to descend into obscurity.
