Luxury e-tailer Moda Operandi has partnered with the London-based interior design magazine Cabana to create an exclusive collection of home accessories. Here are our favourite finds.
Mat finish
The 50-piece collection is inspired by vintage ceramics, textiles and glassware from the north of Italy, and is characterised by its high-quality craftsmanship. Hand-painted and hand-embroidered, this linen placemat was created in collaboration with Atelier Houria Tazi and made in Morocco. The natural motif and playful pops of colour will make it a welcome addition to any table setting.
• Placemat, US$495 (Dh1,818) for a set of two
Message on a bottle
The collection features pieces by luxury homeware designers Laguna B, Richard Ginori, Décors Barbares, Zsuzsanna Nyul and Atelier Houria Tazi, as well as custom-created objects by the Cabana team, which include this charming hand-painted glass bottle. It’s crafted by artisans in Murano and decorated with traditional Tyrolean designs. Perfect for serving those summer mocktails.
• Hand-painted bottle, $235 (Dh863)
Floral flourishes
Produced in Italy, this striking ceramic vase features a hand-painted floral motif and comes in three sizes, as well as a rich shade of red, meaning you can buy more than one and create an eye-catching grouping.
• Blue vase, $315 (Dh1,157) for the large version
A diamond buy
Balloton, a Muranese glassmaking technique that dates back three centuries, was used to create the stunning diamond-patterning on this glass.
• Balloton glass, $145 (Dh533)
Tablecloth techniques
There’s a striking simplicity to this linen tablecloth that belies the fact that it’s made by artisans using centuries-old block-printing techniques. It measures 320 centimetres by 160cm, large enough for most tables.
• Tablecloth, $760 (Dh2,791)
