Dylanlex jewellery
The unashamedly bold jewellery brand Dylanlex – a brainchild of the Me & Lex blogger Drew Ginsburg – has officially hit our shores. The New York City-based brand is now available exclusively in the UAE at S*uce and takes its inspiration from Ginsburg’s world travels, particularly her visits to India. Ginsburg incorporates elements of traditional Indian jewellery with louder touches of rock-star chic into one of the brand’s more popular styles, the bib necklace (pictured). Each handcrafted bib necklace is silver-plated and made from brass, copper, white bronze and other mixed metals. Swarovski crystals are also hand-laid for an added layer of luxury. Dylanlex, which was launched in 2013, has been worn by the likes of Rihanna, Lady Gaga and Alicia Keys. Its “Shop the Instagram” concept – where customers can purchase the pieces featured in photos on the brand’s Instagram account – not only offers customers a different kind of shopping experience, but has also garnered Dylanlex an impressive 180,000-plus followers.

Friday brunch at Zuma
The much-loved Friday brunch at Zuma Dubai has officially returned. A new menu for 2015 will include a mix of signature Zuma dishes – including the popular miso black cod and crispy fried squid (pictured) – and new, street-food-inspired options such as Wagyu beef shabu-shabu. The buffet and à la carte-style meal is rounded off with desserts from the restaurant’s pastry chefs and includes favourites such as the green tea and banana cake. The Friday brunch, which has been available at Zuma Abu Dhabi since last October, is labelled as family-friendly, and those with little ones will have access to a supervised play area following the meal. Launched in London’s Knightsbridge in 2002, the izakaya-style Japanese restaurant first came to Dubai in 2008, and to the capital six years later. Friday Brunch will run from 12 noon to 4pm until June 12.
Furniture from Bottega Veneta
Bottega Veneta’s home collection evolved from a single bench designed by the brand’s creative director, Tomas Maier. Nine years after that first effort, the Italian luxury-goods company has opened its first dedicated home boutique in the heart of Milan. Located in the 18th-century Palazzo Gallarati Scotti, Via Borgospesso, the 2,200-square-foot ground-floor boutique was conceived and designed by Maier and offers a mix of furniture, lighting and accessories for the home. The new location juxtaposes 18th-century frescoes with contemporary furnishings and is said to represent the brand’s commitment to homeware. On offer is an extensive number of pieces, including the Tassello modular seating system, a collaboration with Poltrona Frau; a bed in four different finishes of oak wood; and a selection of Murano glassware from the Tabletop collection.
