Taylor Swift has leapt to the aid of a Sydney theatre company. The pop star granted permission to the cast of 70-somethings to dance to her chart-topper Shake it Off. It came on the back of a Twitter request by Belvoir Theatre with the hashtag "greygrey4taytay" to appeal to the American singer to use the song in a play due to open Wednesday night. The production, Seventeen, is about 17-year-olds on their last night of high school but played by actors in their 70s. "Permission granted," Swift tweeted back. Indian film star Priyanka Chopra says she is eager to star in more US TV drama series. "It's like the golden age of television right now and I wanted to be part of that," she said of her role as a FBI recruit in ABC's new drama Quantico, debuting September 27. Chopra said she is glad to bring further diversity to ABC, which includes a growing number of series with characters of various ethnicities such as Fresh Off the Boat and Black-ish.
