Assemble your toolkit
Make sure you have: mini-scissors, eyelash glue, an eyelash curler and eyelash tweezers. A lightweight pair of lashes is easier to apply, so make sure the band is not too thick. We used Red Cherry Eye lash in #213.
Curl the lashes
A lot of women tend to skip this step but false lashes are generally more curved than our natural lashes, so by curling you’ll be better able to blend them together.
Apply mascara
Next step is to apply one coat of mascara. Apply the wand from under your lashes and wriggle upwards to lift and curl.
Apply liner
Take a black eye pencil and tightly line your top inner eyelids.
Test the lashes
Place the lashes on top of your eye to make sure they’re not too long and that they fit the shape.Duo in black is my favourite glue for applying lashes, and it’s readily available in local pharmacies including Life, Supercare and Ibn Sina.
Use tweezers
Use the opposite end of eyelash tweezers to spread the glue on the lash band, giving it a few seconds to get slightly tacky before placing the lashes on top of the eye. Use the eyelash tweezers to hold the lashes when placing them on top of your eye.
Don’t rush this part
Use the tweezers to hold the far end of the lashes and your other hand to secure the corner next to the eye. Be patient!
More mascara
Once you’re satisfied with how the lashes look, apply another layer of mascara – but only from the underside. This will help close the lashes from the ends and remove any gaps from the sides.
