Police are investigating after actress Salma Hayek's dog was found shot to death on her ranch, about 70 miles south of Seattle, Washington. A Thurston County Sheriff's spokesman says a deputy received a report on February 19, had talked to the actress and was investigating. Deputy Lt Cliff Ziesemer says a caretaker was riding a horse around Hayek's property with two dogs following. They started barking and ran off but eventually returned, as often happened. Later, however, the caretaker noticed one dog was missing and found it dead. A vet found that it had been shot by a pellet gun, which nicked an artery and the dog "slowly bled to death internally". Hayek posted on Instagram that she was upset over the death of the nine-year-old dog, Mozart and she hoped authorities would find the killer. – AP
Rapper attacked in New Zealand
Rapper A$AP Rocky says he avoided injury during a recent attack inside a hotel lift in New Zealand. He said that he had been in a "fist exchange" last Wednesday in Auckland. He performed the same day at the city's Vector Arena. The 27-year-old rapper says he was in a lift with some women and his "security", when a man tried to get in with them. When they refused to let him on, there was a scuffle. No one in his party was hurt and neither side pressed charges over the incident. Rocky is currently in the midst of a six-city tour that ends in Perth, Australia on Sunday. – AP
Swift’s former boyfriend writes song about her
Social media has responded to claims that singer Taylor Swift's former flame, Matt Healy, has written a song criticising her. Fans of the indie rock band 1975 are buzzing about song A Change of Heart, which was reportedly written by Healy about the pop star, according to the website aceshowbiz.com. The lyrics of A Change of Heart describe a cruel and shallow woman. A source close to the 1975 lead singer told publication Page Six: "She may have inspired some of it, [but the song] is about more than one girl." Swift and Healy were linked romantically in 2014 after he expressed his interest in her during a radio interview. "I met Taylor Swift, that was really nice. We exchanged numbers. Let's see what happens," he told Shazam Top 20. "Go out with Taylor Swift? She's a sensation, I wouldn't say no." Healy denied the dating rumours in January last year. – IANS
