Rihanna confirmed she is back with Chris Brown, who is still on probation for assaulting her in 2009. "I decided it was more important for me to be happy," Rihanna told Rolling Stone magazine. "I wasn't going to let anybody's opinion get in the way of that. Even if it's a mistake, it's my mistake." The couple's reconciliation had been rumoured for months, even before the pair unveiled a duet in November. "I'd rather just live my truth and take the backlash," she said, noting that Brown is on probation with her as well: "He doesn't have the luxury of [messing] up again." - Reuters

Grammys line-up of performers

All five nominees for Album of the Year at this year's Grammys will perform at the awards show on February 10: Frank Ocean, Mumford & Sons, The Black Keys, fun. and Jack White. Alicia Keys and Maroon 5 will join forces for a special performance. Presenters include Katy Perry, Keith Urban and Carly Rae Jepsen. Cruz and Bardem expecting child

Penelope Cruz and Javier Bardem are expecting their second child. Us Weekly said sources close to the couple confirmed the news. A source told the E! network that the actress was "around three months" pregnant. The Spanish couple, who married in 2010, welcomed their first child, a boy named Leo, in January 2011. Cruz and Bardem will act together in the forthcoming Ridley Scott film The Counselor, scheduled to be released in November. - Reuters

Beyoncé vowed to sing live at her Super Bowl half-time show today, confirming she sang along to a pre-recorded track of the US national anthem at Barack Obama's inauguration. "I am well-rehearsed and absolutely singing live. This was what I was born to do," she told reporters. She also cleared the air about allegations she had lip-synched at the inauguration. "I always sing live, but this inauguration was unfortunately a time where I could not rehearse with the orchestra because I was practising for the Super Bowl." - AFP

The Bachelor contestant refuses to kiss

In the latest episode of the dating reality series The Bachelor, a female contestant refused to kiss the "bachelor" Sean Lowe, because she did not want to offend her Muslim family, reported Entertainment Weekly. "My mom - she's very strict in her culture," Selma Alameri told Lowe. The show's host, Chris Harrison, told Entertainment Weekly that Alameri's family hails from Iraq. The 29-year-old is an owner of a real estate company in San Diego. Lowe, writing in his blog for People magazine, said of Alameri: "The no-kissing thing made our relationship more exciting. Plus, Selma's heart and personality were more than enough."
