Steam users have voted <em>Red Dead Redemption 2</em> as Steam's game of the year for 2020. This is the third entry in the <em>Red Dead</em> series and a prequel to 2010's <em>Red Dead Redemption</em>. Even though the game released in late 2018, it didn’t make its way onto the Steam platform until December 2019 which is why it qualified for the Game of the Year 2020. So for those who haven't played it yet but are interested, here's what to know about <em>Red Dead Redemption 2</em>: The game, which can be played on both PC and PlayStation 4, is set in 1899 during the waning days of an American west dominated by cowboys, bandits and snake oil merchants. The game lets you control Arthur Morgan, a member of the Van der Linde gang, who is neither good nor bad. The choices you make with Arthur will determine his character type, and whether or not he is benevolent or malevolent. Players can also choose to play from a first person or third person point of view. Those who play <em>Red Dead Redemption 2 </em>praise the game for everything from gameplay and sound design to voice-acting and world-building. Players tend to be impressed by the intricate details and the fact that is so well put together across all categories. The game takes about 60 hours to complete but has an open-world layout meaning there’s plenty of exploring to do.
